River City Coffee + Goods

Located off of the Main Street walkway in downtown Evansville sits River City Coffee + Goods.  Not only is River City known for serving up many delicious coffee offerings, but they also sell many items created by regional vendors.  This little gift and coffee shop is a great little gem in the heart of downtown Evansville.  One of their most popular drinks, however, is an interesting pairing that surprisingly works!

Hoosier Brew

When warm weather arrives, you can bet River City Coffee + Goods will have their signature Hoosier Brew on the menu.  So what is it about this beverage that makes it worthy of the Hoosier title?  Well, there's corn in it (but not like you would think).

Sure when you think of things that go with coffee, the first thing that comes to mind isn't corn, but somehow River City Coffee made this pairing work! Now you're not going to take a drink and get a piece of corn while drinking, it's not like a midwestern boba here. The Hoosier Brew contains a sweet milk and corn mixture, it's said to be very creamy, which is exactly how coffee should be in my honest opinion.

Per River City Coffee's website, the Hoosier Brew has a chocolatey taste to it "Cold brew with our homemade sweetened cream corn. Yes, corn. Tastes chocolatey. Very Indiana. Very delicious."
