The Evansville Police Department are currently investigating a hit-and-run involving a vehicle that hit a man in a wheelchair.

According to our media partner, Eyewitness News, the incident happened around 11:45 Sunday night. A woman was pushing her husband, who is wheelchair-bound, across the intersection of the Lloyd Expressway and Rosenberger Avenue, when a vehicle hit the wheelchair and then drove off.

The man was taken to Deaconess Hospital and was conscious when the paramedics arrived on the scene.

The Evansville Police Department are needing your help in locating the person driving the vehicle. They say that the car in question is a Silver Pontiac (no model has been given at this time). The vehicle should have front end damage as a result of the hit-and-run.

Anyone with information is asked to call EPD or you can anonymously provide info to WeTip at 1-800-78-Crime.
