Enjoy a Nice Dinner While Supporting the Indiana Military Museum
A restaurant in downtown Vincennes plans to donate a portion of its proceeds one night in February to support the Indiana Military Museum's new theater project.
The Indiana Military Museum (IMM), 715 S. 6th St., Vincennes, Ind., is the perfect place for any history buff looking to immerse themselves in the past. With relics dating back to the Revolutionary War, its vast collection is one that must be visited more than once. The museum also hosts several events throughout the year to honor local veterans and give visitors the chance to meet knowledgeable reenactors. In 2025, IMM is working on a new project to enhance visitors’ experiences but is in need of funds to complete the work.
Indiana Military Museum Works to Build a New Theater
According to an IMM social media post, the museum is currently working to complete a 54-seat theater that will show orientation films for visitors. However, as they are 100% volunteer-operated and a nonprofit, funding is limited. The museum reports that they are in need of funds to cover film production, as well as projection and sound equipment for the theater.
This is something I'm personally very excited to see come to fruition, and it looks like many other members of the community are too. In fact, one Vincennes restaurant has just agreed to partner with IMM in an effort to raise funds for the ongoing work. If you're looking to support a great cause while enjoying a delicious meal, this is certainly your time to shine.

How You Can Help Preserve Local History
On Thursday, Feb. 6, Procopio's Pizza & Pasta, 127 N. 2nd St., Vincennes, Ind., will give a portion of its proceeds to IMM. The restaurant will donate 20% of all money taken in until 8 p.m. (EST), with the funds going toward the museum's theater needs. The family-owned restaurant serves phenomenal authentic Italian cuisine and even offers online ordering and delivery. If you've never been, Feb. 6 is the perfect day to give it a try. However, if you can't make it that day, you can always learn how to donate to the museum directly by visiting their website.
