Dutch Bros Coffee to Open First Indiana Location This Spring
A popular drive-thru coffee chain is planning to open its first Indiana location this spring, with even more Tri-State openings planned for the future.
You're likely familiar with Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts, but you may not have heard of Dutch Bros Coffee — at least, not yet. The brand has taken the United States by storm and is more than just your average coffee shop. In addition to an assortment of hot and cold coffees, Dutch Bros serves up various fruit-inspired energy drinks, along with their new "Sweet Cereal Sips," like the Cinnamon Swirl and Marshmallow Dream. Currently, there are no locations in the Hoosier State, but that's about to change.
How Did Dutch Bros Get Started?
Dutch Bros started with humble beginnings in 1992, when the brand was nothing more than a pushcart operated by Dane and Travis Boersma. They would set up by the railroad tracks in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon, to serve espresso to the community. The brothers later opened their first brick-and-mortar location in 2000, which quickly expanded to several more throughout the Northwestern states. Today, Dutch Bros has nearly 1,000 locations.
Dutch Bros Coffee is Heading to Indiana
According to WRTV, the coffee chain is planning to open its first Indiana location this spring. Dutch Bros' first Hoosier location will be in Noblesville, at 14560 Mundy Dr. A specific opening date has yet to be announced. However, more locations are on the horizon, with additional spots reportedly under consideration in both Indiana and Kentucky.

Is Dutch Bros Coffee Coming to Evansville?
Currently, there are a handful of Dutch Bros locations scattered throughout Kentucky in Lexington, Richmond, and Bowling Green. According to Fingers, Fork, Knife & Spoon Evansville, Dutch Bros Coffee may also be coming to Owensboro with plans to set up shop in the Shoppes at Frederica. It's unclear if Evansville will be next on the list, but I’ve reached out to the coffee chain for more information.
