Brownie lovers across the nation celebrate National Brownie Day each year on December 8th.

A cross between a cookie and a cake, brownies were created in the United States at the end of the 19th century and soon became very popular across the country.

The chocolate brownie is still hailed as everyone's favorite. Today there are many varieties of brownies to enjoy including the blondie that is not made with chocolate, fudgy, cheescake, caramel, peanut butter, blonde butterscotch, german chocolate, and more! Enjoy your very own favorite brownie!
