Allow us to introduce you to this week's Piece of Cake Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society, Joe! See him in action!

Joe - 4-yr-old male Treeing Walker Coonhound. He really does “tree” during Cardio for Canines!
He looks a little sad in the video, and I don’t really know why... he’s having kind of a rough time with us. He is actually currently living in this visiting room because he is super stressed living behind a fence (like a kennel door has.) He previously lived outdoors his whole life which is probably why he hates chain link. You can tell he likes human attention and he would probably be such a good inside family dog. Maybe even a bit of a couch potato. He goes berserk when people walk by but once someone is with him, he’s calm just like this. Several staff have said that about him. His CFC buddies rave about what a good boy he is at the park.
Because he lived exclusively outside in a pen, Joe has a raging case of heartworms. His treatment will be included in his $110 fee. Not neutered yet but should be having that done this week.

Watch more cats playing LIVE 24/7 (if they’re not sleeping) on their new Petcube Play in the Cageless Cat Lounge. Download the free Petcube app, create an account, and find “VHS Cat Lounge.” The camera runs all the time and if you turn your phone to landscape, you can control the built-in laser pointer and play with the kittens!
