The World Beer Cup is referred to as the "Olympics of the beer world," and nine Indiana breweries ended up with medals!

The World's Most Prestigious Beer Competition

The World Beer Cup is said to be the most prestigious beer competition in the world.  The competition is put on by the Brewers Association, which is a trade organization of brewers that works with thousands of brewers and brewery members across the country.  Each year the best of the best in craft brewing is represented at the World Beer Cup, and this year Indiana had quite the showing at the competition with the Hoosier State having NINE different breweries receive medals at the World Beer Cup in 2025.

The World Beer Cup

The fact that nine different breweries in Indiana medaled at the World Beer Cup is a pretty big deal! This competition is often referred to as "the Olympics of beer."  The Brewers Association dropped some statistics about the World Beer Cup, and there were more than 8,000 entries submitted to the competition across more than 1,700 breweries and cideries from 49 different countries.

There are several categories for the competition, and breweries from across the globe can submit beers or ciders for different categories.  They say there's an average of 73 beers per category, and only three can medal.  So the fact that Indiana has nearly a dozen different breweries that came home with a medal from the World Beer Cup is pretty cool!
