I'm getting married in a couple months, and to me the gifts and money don't matter.  Yes, I won't lie the gifts and stuff are very nice, and I'm so thankful for the people who feel the need to give.  However Genuinely I'd much rather have my friends and family there spending the day celebrating with my fiance and I and bring zero gifts, instead of having a few people there who can afford to bring gifts, if that makes sense.   That's not what is important.  This couple however doesn't seem the feel the same way...

In my book a $144 is a HUGE chunk of change for someone to be dropping on a wedding gift, but one woman didn't mind.  She gave the newlywed couple $144 (it was actually 100 pounds, because it was in England where this happened, but the conversion is $144 US dollars).

Apparently the couple had already asked for money instead of gifts, which depending on how you word that can be very tacky, but it gets WORSE! A week later the woman who gave the money recieved an email that said "We were surprised that your contribution didn't seem to match the warmth of your good wishes on our big day. In view of your own position, if you wanted to send any adjustment it would be thankfully received."

The new position they were referring to, was some money the woman had recently come into.

I hope she cancels the check!!

What would you do?!
