During my live broadcast at the Easterseals Telethon a couple of weeks ago, I was approached by a man named Mark who presented me with this Bible. No, he was not looking to persuade me to accept Jesus as my Lord and savior. He was hoping that I may be able to use this space, and my ability to reach a large number of people over the air, to track down a member of the family it belongs to.

As the story goes, Mark took possession of the good book a number of years ago after finding it stashed in a home he had been hired to clean out before its scheduled demolition in Evansville. Thinking it could be an edition that's been passed down through a generation or two, he's tried on a number of occasions to locate someone with a connection to the family with the hope the two could be reunited. At one point he turned it over to his church thinking they may be find someone, but after months of searching came up empty, he took it back and continued his search, which brings us to where we are now.

Since that day, I've kept it locked away in a filing cabinet in my office until I had a chance to write this post. As you can see from the photo above, the cover is engraved with the names "Shawn, Jeannie, and Brantley White." Here's a closer look:

There are no other names, addresses, or phone numbers of any kind written inside the front or back cover. However, tucked inside the front cover are several professionally taken portraits that look to be from the late '70's or early-to-mid 80's. Unfortunately, none of them have any names or dates written on the back so I have no idea who these people are, if any of them are Shawn, Jeannie, or Brantley White, or other family members.

Here's where you come in. Take a close look at the photos, and the Bible cover itself. If you recognize any of these people, or know Shawn, Jeannie, or Brantley White, or someone related to them, shoot me an e-mail at ryan@wkdq.com and let me know how I can get in touch with them. If you don't know them, share this post on your social media accounts. Maybe someone who knows someone who knows someone that knows the family will see it and we can get it back to them.
