New Partnership Will Send 84 Local Kids To Disney World Next Year

When good people get together, great things can happen, and that's exactly what's happening at Evansville Regional Airport. Partnering with Breeze Airways and Cops Connecting With Kids, the three have confirmed they'll be sending 84 local students to Walt Disney World next year. Cops Connecting With Kids has been around since 2014, helping over 700 kids not only leave home for the first time, but discover destinations they could never dream of. Doug Daza, CCWK Board President, had this to say about the partnership:

“For many of these students, this will be their first time on an airplane, staying in a hotel, and traveling away from home. We’re incredibly grateful for the partnership with Evansville Regional Airport and Breeze in helping make this experience possible and create a meaningful opportunity for our students that starts right here at home.”

Magic Truly Starts At Evansville Regional Airport

The local students who are selected will be chosen based on classroom effort, positive behavior, community involvement, demonstrated leadership skills, and other various qualifiers. The students are selected by their schools and are announced in the fall. Through this opportunity, these kids will have the ability to experience destinations and adventures that they may otherwise never get the chance to do. Leslie Fella, EVV Director of Marketing and Air Service, added this to the excitement surrounding the partnership:

“This is a great example of what strong partnerships can accomplish. As the community’s airport, creating opportunities like this is at the heart of what we do. This truly is a dream come true. We’re grateful to collaborate with Cops Connecting with Kids and our airline partner, Breeze, to help bring this magical experience to life.”
