Newly Remodeled Boonville City Lake Park Reopening Date
City Lake Park in Boonville has been under construction for quite some time. The park will reopen later this month with all new state-of-the-art equipment.
Boonville, Indiana, has so much to offer families, especially during the summer. I mean we have Scales Lake, Richard's Pool, Tastee Freeze, and of course City Lake. For those who don't know, City Lake in Boonville is a great place to spend the day during the summer. Of course, there is the lake, where you can go fishing, or simply walk around, but there is also a basketball court, a splash park, a playground, pavilions for gatherings, and a lot of space for some fun.
Earlier this year, the park and the splash park were closed for renovations. If you have driven by City Lake, you have most likely seen all of the construction. The splash park was completed and had reopened during summer break for the kiddos. However, construction continues on the park. Many have wondered when City Lake Park would reopen and what they can expect from the finished product. Lucky for you, we have those details!

Newly Remodeled Boonville City Lake Park Design
I was able to chat with Boonville city officials about the progress on City Lake Park. The equipment is all in place, and they are doing the final touches on the basketball court. Work on the playground and basketball court is near completion. While construction is currently still going on, I was able to get a few renderings of the park to share with you about what folks can expect with this newly upgraded, incredible park. Check them out:
Now, some aspects of these renderings will look a little different once the park is complete. For example, the basketball court design is slightly different than the final product. In any event, the redesigned City Lake Park looks like it is going to be something great for families!
Newly Remodeled Boonville City Lake Park Reopening Date
So, by now, I am sure you are wondering when City Lake Park will be open to the public. The ribbon cutting for Boonville City Lake will be on Thursday, August 28th, at 1 PM. Following that, the park will be open to the public. After the ribbon cutting, there will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Boonville Aquatics Center that will be located behind Tastee Freeze, next to Richard's Pool. That event will be held at 2 PM on the same day. So, you'll be able to go out there and check out the plans for the new Aquatics Center, which I also saw renderings for. Let me tell you, it is going to look fantastic once completed!
