The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them in all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats who have been around awhile. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week with the VHS, in hopes of helping them find their forever homes. This week our Pet of the Week is a beautiful house hippo named Bella!

Meet Bella!

When Kendall sent me the information and videos on Bella, I have to be honest she totally stole my heart! I've got two rescue pitties myself, so I am a huge sucker when it comes to rescue pit mixes like Bella!

Meet Bella! Her favorite thing in this world? Water! Being the smart girl that she is, she has figured out what a hose does and will not rest until she’s had a few chomps from it. Only 9-months-old, Bella is still working on her manners. But like we said, she is VERY smart and should do well with training! She gets along great with other dogs and kiddos, too.
