Austin Powers Might Be Turned Into A Broadway Musical! Yeah, Baby!! [VIDEOS]

In my past life, pre-radio...LOL, I was a drama teacher at Princeton High School in Princeton, IN. I was the crazy teacher who worked tirelessly to get 14 to 18 year olds excited about musicals. And, I must admit, succeeded!! :-)

So, now I am going to try and get YOU excited too!! And, in a shagadelic way!!!!!  Following in the footsteps of ‘Legally Blonde,’ ‘Footloose,’ ‘Rocky’ and ‘Sister Act,’ Mike Myers is thinking about  turning his popular movie "Austin Powers" into a Broadway musical. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Are you excited yet????????? Yeah, Baby!!!!!

It makes perfect sense!! From the music to the sets, its fun and visually INCREDIBLE!! Great mix for a wonderful production!! I LOVE the idea!

While Myers, wouldn’t star in the musical, he’s reportedly “heavily involved” in writing it.  He’s also writing a fourth ‘Austin Powers’ movie, scheduled to arrive in theaters in the next couple of years.

The three  AP movies have grossed some $676 million worldwide. We will just have to wait and see if the musical version will be successful too. 

Most movie musical adaptations have not been popular or profitable. Do you think Austin Powers will be different??
