Ultimate Indiana Antique Road Trip Takes you to More Than 1,200 Stores
From vintage scores to rare finds, Indiana's Antique Alley is an antique hunter's dream!
The Thrill of the Find
There are few things I enjoy more than going on the hunt for vintage and/or antique items. I have never wanted cookie-cutter furniture in my home, and little by little I've been adding vintage pieces here and there to slowly make my home feel a little more unique, and a little more my style. Not to sound cliche, but things were just built different years ago, and it's really fun to be able to give new life to something old.
For example, one of my favorite vintage finds is this 1967 Sears Silvertone record cabinet that now serves as our TV stand (this is when we first brought it home and cleaned it up).
The turntable didn't work anymore, and the speakers were rotted so we took them out, but left all of the internal wiring and turntable intact inside the console in case we decide to make it play again. In the meantime the speaker boxes are empty so they're perfect for storing things behind. One day we'll get it to play records again, but in the meantime, it's a beautiful piece of furniture that serves an important purpose at our house.
The Ultimate Treasure Hunt is Indiana's Antique Alley
You could take a year just to explore Indiana's Antique Alley and you STILL would need more time to see everything at each store! To say Antique Alley is a treasure trove is an understatement.
According to Visit Richmond, Antique Alley consists of a 66-mile loop trail that passes through Wayne County. The trail takes you to more than 1,200 businesses along the Historic National Road from Richmond to Knightstown.

According to Visit Indiana, this is the premier antique destination for all vintage fans.
Indiana's Antique Alley has made an exceptional name for itself in the world of antiques. With 1,200+ dealers along two interlocking loop trails, Antique Alley has become Indiana’s premier, year-round antiques destination. The trails leisurely ramble through historic and scenic eastern Indiana to a variety of both small and large antique shops and malls offering a plethora of affordable treasures from the past. Historic Cambridge City serves as the hub of Antique Alley boasting 13 eclectic antique shops and malls within a 2-block area. It's time to plan an overnight getaway to Indiana's Antique Alley for your treasure hunting adventure!
I would LOVE to take a long weekend to explore some vintage stores (and probably need to rent a Uhaul to get home with all of my finds).
