'Tis the season and Historic Newburgh, Inc. is inviting you and your family to celebrate the holidays they way the did way back when during their annual Newburgh Celebrates Christmas event along the Newburgh riverfront.

According to the event information on the Historic Newburgh, Inc. Facebook page, the two day event will feature "carolers, musicians, chestnuts roasting and citizens dressed in garb of days gone by." Those "days gone by" mean the 1880's.

Santa will also be on hand at the Newburgh Town Hall to visit with the kids, and of course the local stores and restaurants that reside along the riverfront will be open so you can cross a few things off your Christmas giving list while supporting local business!

For more information on what's in store, including a few pop-up shops that will be on site, visit the Historic Newburgh, Inc. Facebook page.
