One of the biggest things I miss about everything being shut down is going to the library. I love getting my daughter new books - since I still read with her it's quite the challenge to stomach the same kids books over and over and over. There are some great online resources and one of them is the American Girl Doll free online library.

According to americangirl.com: You and your girl may be home right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t travel to exciting times and places, and meet new friends along the way.

Welcome to American Girl’s online library, a place where you and your girl will love stepping into stories full of adventure, bravery, and daring, featuring girls who live in times and places she may have never seen before. You’ll also find lots of expert advice to help her sort through her feelings, family, and friendships during these very different times.

We hope these books provide you with new ways to connect and have fun with your girl. Come back each week to find new fun reads to love!

Every week, they release new books. So far, there's the Nanea series, Kit Kittridge series, teacher guides, The Smart Girls Guides, The Care and Keeping of You, Samantha, Felicity, and more.

I love the American Girl book series. They are colorful and really focus in on issues that young girls face. Some tougher issues they face head-on but are always sound advice for young girls to cling to. The stories are engaging and really fun to read together.

My hunch is that this won't last long so take advantage of the free library now!
