Attention all wizards and witches! A new outdoor murder mystery game is coming to Evansville that you all will love.

In the late 90s and early 2000s, certain books and movies really put wizards on the map. To this day, so many people are fascinated by the "wizarding world", and everything that goes along with it. I'm sure you know a few people who are big fans, you might even be one of them. If that's the case, you will want to be a part of something very "magical" in Evansville, Indiana.

"Witchcraft & Wizardry: Murder by Magic" Coming to Evansville

Grab your cloaks, wands, and spell books for a pretty fun event that will be making its way to Evansville in 2023. It's called "Witchcraft & Wizardry: Murder by Magic", and it's up to you to solve the murders of witches and wizards in Evansville. According to the creators of the event, Clued Upp, here's a brief description of the event:

The realm is in danger, can you stop the evil enchanter before it’s too late? A chilling threat looms over the city as dark forces continue their reign of terror. Hungry for power and twisted from the dark arts, they're using maleficent magic to terrorize innocent witches and wizards.

You will be able to embark on this magical journey through Evansville on Saturday November 4th, 2023. Witchcraft & Wizardry: Murder by Magic is ideal for groups of families and friends, with each ticket allowing up to six adults (kids are free) to become detectives, so to speak. You will be trying to solve a magical murder mystery set in a realm of sorcery and spells, right here in Evansville. According to the event page:

Along the way, you'll hunt for clues, solve perplexing puzzles, and uncover the secrets of the city like never before. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure and be the first to crack the case!

The murder mystery can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. You can come in dressed up as your favorite wizarding character or just dress casually. Prizes to be won for five categories, including best dressed and fastest team. Either way, it will make for a fun and unique way to spend the day in Evansville. I find looking back on the way things used to be fascinating. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm living through the current time period. The conveniences of answering any question we have in seconds, or ordering practically anything we want or need and having it delivered to our doorstep is pretty sweet.
