Meet the $10,000 Grand Prize Winner of ‘Double Dollars’

They say, "cash is king." And, with gas prices still stupid high, and prices on everything being equally stupid high, we could all use some extra cash in our bank accounts these days to help cover those costs. Throughout the entire month of April, we gave you the chance to win cash, up to $10,000, with a game we called, Double Dollars. When all was said and done, one lucky listener scored that 10-grand which will no doubt come in really handy these days.

Each weekday throughout the month, we announced 10 code words. One each hour between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. All you needed to do was listen for those words, and enter them into the online form on our website and app. In addition to a shot at the $10,000 grand prize, each day also featured the opportunity to score a $2,000 daily prize, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Meet Jeremy Ward. A blue-collar guy who earns his living in the world of lawn care. Jeremy told us that he listens to the radio while in his truck driving from job to job, then opens up the app and listens while he takes care of his client's lawns. While he admitted he did miss a few words over the course of the month, he caught "most of them." It clearly paid off as he now has an extra $10,000 to play with.

When asked how he was going to celebrate, Jeremy said he was going to start with treating his family to some ice cream. With $10,000, he'll easily be able to afford two scoops of each flavor.

His plans for the rest of the cash include paying some bills and putting the rest away to help cover college for his son.
