1st Annual Muddy Gras Coming To The Warrick County Fair
The Warrick County 4-H Fair has teamed up with Backwoods Motorsports to have a very unique event this year that the whole family might want to participate in! It's the 1st Annual Muddy Gras on July 17th! Now, you might be asking what exactly is Muddy Gras? It is essentially one giant, muddy obstacle course. According to Kristin Black, with Backwoods Motorsports who is helping put on the event:
We will start by a pretty easy run up a small hill, then on the other side will be a large slippery water slide after your soaking wet you will continue up a big muddy hill which will prove a challenge, then on to a maze of twists and turns as you go through our maze, then on to the “tired, tires” by now you should be getting “tired”, sand bags are next pack just one sand bag from point A to point B as fast as you can, time is ticking. Run, or slide, down to the tunnels, and crawl your way through the mud tunnels, then out the other side on to the “muddy whoop section”. If your not a motocross manic like us, these are small hills one after another, the faster you go the smoother they are! But good luck because guess what? These are going to be muddy too! Drop down and let your inner Louisiana crawfish come out and crawl under the next obstacle the Cajun crawl. Jump up and jump in a nice refreshing bath, don’t want dirty crawfish! Sprint, if you still have it in you, through the barrels and you have just finished the first annual Backwoods Muddy Gras.
Sounds like a fun time, right? The Muddy Gras event is open to anyone age 3 and up. You can sign up as a team or individually. They will have both girls and boys teams, signup starts at 3:00 pm on July 17th at the Warrick County 4-H Fair arena. For more details, you can check out the flyer below!
