The Evansville Police Department is hosting this Leadership Workshop later this month to help raise funds for Cops Connecting with Kids, and you are encouraged to attend!

The “Cops Connecting with Kids” program is a mentorship program designed to bring local law enforcement and students within the community together. Each year, members of the Evansville Police Department take children in the EVSC school district on a trip to Disney World. The Disney trip takes place every year to build positive relationships between members of law enforcement and the youth in their respective communities. This program has helped build great relationships with officers and kids for several years now. However, the Disney trip wouldn't be possible without fundraising events throughout the year.

Leadership Workshop to Benefit Cops Connecting with Kids

On October 24th, the Evansville Police Department will be hosting the "Be the Hero in Your Own Story" Leadership Workshop at the Ivy Tech Campus on First Avenue from 8 a.m. until noon. This Workshop is open to the public, and businesses in the Evansville area are encouraged to send some of their employees. Jeff Barnes is a best-selling author and captivating keynote speaker who engages audiences with lessons learned from Walt Disney. Jeff uses the magical story of Walt Disney, Disneyland, and Walt Disney World to challenge you to think bigger, expand your expectations, and to never stop dreaming.

There will be a lot of things to take away at this interactive workshop. You can learn more in the post below:
