Your Guide to the 2012 Haubstadt Sommerfest

Unless you have been living under a rock since the dawn of time, you have heard of the Haubstadt Sommerfest. Chances are you’ve probably even been a few times or twenty throughout the years, and are planning to go again this year.
If this sounds like you, consider this your guide to the 2012 Haubstadt Sommerfest!
The festivities begin this Thursday night, with both food booths and bierstube opening up at 6:00pm – running strong until midnight.
Friday and Saturday offer much of the same, with beer and live entertainment lasting until midnight Saturday evening.
Below is a complete schedule and list of food vendors.
THURSDAY, JUNE 21
6:00 PM — Little Miss Sommerfest (South Stage)
6:00 PM — Rides, Food Booths Open
6:00 PM — Bierstube Opens
6:00 PM to 9:00 PM — Race packet pick-up
8:00 PM — Stompbox 40 – Main Stage
Midnight — Bierstube Closes
FRIDAY, JUNE 22
5:30 PM — Talent Show (South Stage)
6:00 PM — Rides, Food Booths Open
6:00 PM — Bierstube Opens
6:00 PM to 9:00 PM — Race packet pick-up
8:00 PM — John Riggins and the Mule Barn Band – Main Stage
Midnight — Bierstube Closes
SATURDAY, JUNE 23
6:30 – 7:45 AM – Race Registration
8:00 AM — Lil’ Dutch Run
8:20 AM — 5K Run
8:23 AM — 5k Walk
11:00 AM — Laufenfest Bierstube Ends
1:00 PM — Parade (no route change this year)
6:00 PM — Rides, Food Booths Open
6:00 PM — Bierstube Opens
8:00 PM — McFly, Back to the 80′s – Main Stage
Midnight — Bierstube Closes

The Sommerfest has foods to please a variety of tastes. One of the great things about the Sommerfest is that home cooked meals are available along with some foods you can only get during these three days of the year. Whatever you crave, you’ll be able to get a full stomach and then head into the bierstube.
