WKDQ Employee Touched By The 911 Gives Hope Toy Drive

Every December, WKDQ participates in the 911 Gives Hope For The Holidays Toy Drive. This year, it has come around full circle for one staff member. One of our employees has a child recovering from surgery today, and because of YOUR generosity, he will have a little "hope" following his surgery.

It's an amazing thing to hear stories of children receiving toys all year around as a result of this toy drive, but it's even more heartwarming to hear that a child who actually helped out at the toy drive benefited from it.

WKDQ along with area first responders are give back to the kids every year with our annual 911 Gives Hope For the Holidays Toy Drive! Our goal is to fill a Semi-Truck trailer with toys. We accept new, unwrapped toys to help area hospitals make sure every kid who is there will have a toy to help them feel better during their stay!

Thanks to your kindness, this event has gone from helping children spending the holidays in the hospital, to helping children throughout the year! Be sure to join us again this year as we help local children like Austin, have a little bit of joy during rough times.
