Waverly Hills Escape Event 2024 Details Have Dropped

 Are you a weekend adventurer with a taste for the spooky and perhaps the macabre? Strange Escapes has an itinerary for that! Founded by Amy Bruni from Discovery's show Kindred Spirits, comes an event planning company for the seekers of paranormal locations and experiences.

Strange Escapes at Waverly Hills- Louisville May 30th- June 2nd

This event is being hosted by talented TV medium Cindy Kaza, Amy Bruni, Adam Berry, and John Tenney. This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of opportunity to investigate one of the most haunted locations in the country, with celebrity investigators. Strange Escapes is offering a three-day long retreat in Louisville, Kentucky and your VIP booking includes some frightfully fantastic chances to ghost-hunt with the pros.

VIP access includes two nights of investigating at Waverly, a private one-hour hunt with Kindred Spirit stars Amy Bruni and Adam Berry, Champaign brunch, reserved seating for conferences, and early admission for meet and greets. The recommended ages for this paranormal retreat is 16 and older though a "junior track" will be offered for ages 10-16.

The Gothic architectural rooftop gargoyles who have kept steadfast centennial over the grounds at Waverly Hills for over 100 years, wait for your arrival. Explore one of the country's most haunted locations in the heart of the Bluegrass State. Strange Escapes whisks away its guests to a different era in time to interact with those who never left it. Built in 1910 Waverly was only supposed to shelter a maximum of 50 patients suffering from what was at the time, incurable tuberculosis.

Ultimately Waverly ended up housing nearly 400 infected patients after necessary expansions. The Tuberculosis hospital closed in 1961 and was refashioned into a nursing home in the early 80s before closing permanently as a healthcare facility. The property has been owned by Charles and Tina Mattingly since 2001 and has different events throughout the year.

The halls of Waverly Sanitorium now vastly remain empty in place of what many years ago was quite a bustling environment. Aside of course from the thousands of yearly visitors that brave the grounds and property, and of course, those that never did leave after their final discharge.
