There's no better feeling than doing something for someone...for no reason whatsoever. Just to show kindness and respect. We will be doing these random acts of kindness sporadically, and invite you to join us. You can show us your random acts of kindness by tagging WKDQ and the United Way in a video or picture on Facebook. Be sure that you use the hashtag #LIVE16.

Here was my second random act of kindness. I traveled to Chandler, Indiana to give back to someone who constantly give back to her community. Kristi McDaniel lost her son, Blake, in August of 2006. Since then, she has started a group called Blake's Soul Shine Brigade. This  group does a lot in the community, and one of the main things they strive to do is pay it forwards. August is their big pay it forward month, and it has become very successful. If you ever receive a random gift and have the picture below attached to it, now you know where that came from.

Not only that, but she also founded a group called Picking Up the Pieces. This is a support group for the surviving families and friends of suicide loss. This lady does it all to give back to those who need it most.  What better way to pay it forward with random acts of kindness than to show a random act of kindness to someone who does it year round and asks for nothing in return.
