UE Women’s Basketball Player signs Pro Contract

The University of Evansville Basketball player Sara Dickey has signed a pro contract to play in the Liga Feminina in Portugal.

Dickey leaves UE as the Women's basketball all-time leading scorer. In a press released she was thankful for the chance to play at the next level;  “I am really thankful for the opportunities that basketball has given me,” Dickey said.  “I am extremely excited to be going to Portugal.  It will be a culture shock, but an eye-opening experience at the same time.  I have been in a lot of contact with the coaches and team already, which makes me excited to get started.”

Dickey will be playing for Clube Juvenil Boa Viagem.  She leaves the UE program amassing 2,099 points and has the 10th best point total in Indiana Division 1 women's basketball history.
