As always we thank you for your requests all year long, by e-mail, on the request line, and during the drive home with Dashboard DJ.  Because you've requested them, we've kept track of them all, and compiled the Top 99 songs of the past year.

Listen on New Year's Eve from 10am-6pm as I count down the favorites of the Tri-State, then just in case you missed them, we'll do it again on New Year's Day from 4pm-Midnight.  It's the Top 99 of 2011 and it's brought to you by Expressway Auto Mall in Mt. Vernon.  As a small preview, I will give you the big winners on this year's countdown.

Brad Paisley scores the most hits on the Top 99 with 5, however none of those fall in the top 10.  4 other artists managed to score 4 hits on the countdown, and they were Toby Keith, Billy Currington, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean.  Blake and Jason each put two of those hits in the Top 10 which is quite the accomplishment.  Joining them with two songs in the Top 10, is the group that comes to the Ford Center on December 28th, The Zac Brown Band.

You might ask where the females are, well outside of duets and groups with a female lead (hint, hint) you won't find them in the Top 10.  As a matter of fact the closest female solo artist appears all the way down at number 18.  Females are still well represented though, with Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift both scoring 3 songs each.

Finally, new artists made a big showing on the chart, with Jerrod Niemann, Scotty McCreery, Craig Campbell,

and the LoCash Cowboys all putting two singles on the year end countdown.

There is a lot more to discover about the best songs requested by you, but for that you'll have to wait until New Year's Weekend when we reveal the Top 99 of 2011 brought to you by Expressway Auto Mall in Mt. Vernon.
