Fresh off their win for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2012 CMAs, Thompson Square's Keifer and Shawna Thompson are now preparing for another exciting career mark to check off their bucket list... first time authors!

Thompson Square's Shawna Thompson says when she needs a break from husband Keifer, she flashes something she calls the "stank eye." He might have gotten it -- the "stank eye," that is -- after telling Taste of Country Nights radio host Jeremy Robinson how he planned to celebrate if the duo won the Vocal Duo of the Year award at the 2012 CMAs.

Lady Antebellum's 'Own The Night Tour' hits Evansville's Ford Center, but unfortunately, Thompson Square will not be appearing as originally scheduled.  Here is the statement from Lady A's management team:

Today the Academy of Country Music and Great American Country (GAC) announced the 2012 semi-finalists for the New Artist of the Year award, which consists of eight artists after the first round of professional voting. This year’s semi-finalist list includes Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, Thompson Square, JT Hodges, David Nail, Jerrod Niemann and Justin Moore.

Here we are with a another Monday and lots of good music to debut.  With all the good stuff out there, it was hard to settle on one for New Music Monday, but I've decided on the new single from the hottest new duo in country, Thompson Square.

Lady Antebellum will be headed to the Ford Center in Evansville on February 26th.  Because of the demand from their fans, some reserved seating on the floor has been opened up.

At the start of 2011, I made some bold predictions as to who we should keep an eye out for in the new year.  The question is, did my predictions hold water?  Let's find out.

Now with a second year under its belt, the American Country Awards seem to be here to stay.  Do they need to?  In my opinion they're tied for third place in country award shows with the CMT Video Music Awards.  I have found good and bad things about them, especially after watching last night's broadcast...

It's official!  CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Lady Antebellum will bring their "Own The Night Tour" to The Ford Center on February 26th.  Along for the tour will be Darius Rucker and Thompson Square!  This is the latest huge show added to the lineup for the new arena in Evansville...
