While many stores and major retailers are moving away from being open on Thanksgiving Day, there are eight national chains that will be open on Thanksgiving Day in the Evansville area.

Earlier in the year, CVS, the nation's second biggest drugstore chain, announced it would stop selling tobacco products in it's stores beginning October 1st. The move was announced after the company decided to focus more on customer health and the idea of selling tobacco was counter to that notion.

A major company is taking a significant stand against smoking and the move is being applauded by the president.

When you go shopping, chances are you walk through the aisles of the entire store looking for what you need, want or just the best deals. When you go into a drugstore, more often than not you are going there to get a perscription or some type of over the counter medication, right?
