If your a sucker for an adorable kitten (find me one that's NOT adorable), then you'll no doubt want to stop by the Vanderburgh Humane Society's second annual "Kitten Shower" on Saturday, June 6th.
It's a very special day. It's Friday! In case this terrible, terrible song doesn't quite capture how excited we are for the weekend (we so excited), here are some memes. In case the memes don't adequately express how excited we are for the weekend, just look for the person wearing no pants with a pitcher of sangria in each hand -- that's us. Enjoy!
Cats, I love them. I know, I know, it's a little crazy. What started out as ONE cat, has turned into 6. Stop laughing!!!! (I blame Kendall Paul from the VHS!! LOL)
Because of my love of all things cat, I can't resist any and all cat videos. Even ones that show them NOT so cute. lol
In case you haven't noticed, us humans are really annoying, especially when it comes to pets. We dress 'em up in embarrassing costumes and bathe them til they hate us and honestly? We can't blame them at all for retaliation.
You KNOW I'm a cat lover. I think what I love most about cats is that you never know HOW they will react to a situation. They are very mysterious. Cats will surprise you with their ability to make you smile. Like, who knew one day out in the boat, a cat would befriend a dolphin? Pretty amazing!
We all have those days when we're just over it. Maybe you're done with the traffic, bad weather or the fact that nothing can go right today. It happens to the best of us, and animals definitely aren't excluded.
I saw the video that Jon posted where the dog hasn't seen his owner for like months and months and then leaps into his arms with excitement at the sight of him walking through the door. So, since I am a 'cat' person now, I thought.....'How would my CAT react to me coming back home if I had been gone for a while? And, I found a video that pretty much sums it up!
If we all didn't love anthropomorphic animals so much, there's no way Disney would be as successful as it is. It turns out there's something better than cartoon animals acting like people though -- real animals acting like people.
