Yesterday was the closest call yet for champion, Casey James, but he survived by a 54% margin over Gwen Sebastian to remain champ in the Country Whuppin' brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads.  Today he faces the challenge of another James, in the beautiful, Jessie James, with an equally beautiful song.

Casey James continued his winning ways with a victory over Katie Armiger in the Country Whuppin' brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads.  Now with two wins under his belt, Casey faces off against new artist and contestant on The Voice, Season 1 on Team Blake Shelton, Gwen Sebastian, and her touching song of faith.

The buzz has been crazy since we added American Idol finalist Casey James to Taste of Country, September 10th at Ellis Park.  It really seems country fans are buzzing all over the country about Casey's debut in country music.  Even in the world of country, other artists have recognized his talent.  Recently, Kristian Bush of Sugarland teamed up with Casey to write the song, "Hold On."  R

It was announced last week that American Idol Season 9 finalist, Casey James would be added to the lineup at Taste of Country, September 10th at Ellis Park.  Now, Casey has released his first country single, and that is your song to vote on for today's New Music Monday.

Casy James, recently added to the lineup for WKDQ's 'Taste of Country' concert September 10th at Ellis Park starring Josh Turner, said recently that his eyes are wide open thanks to an event that almost took his life. On season 9 of American Idol, Casey finished third, but he was counting his blessings and very thankful for everything he has and will have in the future.
