Shelly Kirk Leaving Eyewitness News

tristatehomepage.com

After 23 years at WEHT, Shelley Kirk will be leaving the TV news business.  Kirk announced Monday, that this Friday, March 9th will be her final day to anchor newscasts on Eyewitness News, as she takes the Marketing Director position with Fifth Third Bank in Evansville. For many years, Shelley has been the face of WEHT along with Brad Byrd.  Both have been a huge part of the annual Easter Seals and Santa Clothes Club telethons, hosting the events, and raising thousands of dollars year after year.  Kirk was one of the handful of employees that was retained at WEHT, when it was bought by Nextar Broadcasting and merged with WTVW to form Eyewitness News.  We here at WKDQ wish Shelley the best in her new job, and thankfully we will still get to see you here in the Tri-State.
