Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriter’s Profile – Wynn Varble

The Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival is coming to Henderson August 1st-4th and there are 20 great Nashville songwriters coming in to tell their stories. Today we had the chance to talk to the writer of number one country hits, Wynn Varble.
Wynn Varble, though he grew up in Georgia, has roots right here in the Tri-State, as his dad is from Owensboro. It’s the country lifestyle and roots that have been the influence in writing big country hits. His latest big number one and award-nominated hit was Easton Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That.” Wynn also wrote the touching Brad Paisley hit, “Waitin’ On a Woman” along with the seven-week number one for Darryl Worley, “Have You Forgotten.”
