Red Wine May Have The Same Benefit As Exercise
Three times a week you can find me killing myself for two hours at the downtown YMCA tring to reap the benefits of exercise. It turns out according to a new study, all I really have to do is knock down a glass of red wine. According to the study, red wine contains a natural phenol called Resveratrol which can give you the same benefit as exercise in terms of maintaining muscle mass and bone strength. However, it is important to point out that all of the tests on resveratrol have been conducted on rodents and scientists are not sure if resveratrol has the same effect on humans. One thing they do know is that humans would have to consume a lot more than one glass to reap the benefits, a lot more, but if you are a vino fan there are worse things in life, right?
