Pet of the Week

Every week we feature different adoptable pets with our friends at the Vanderburgh Humane Society.  As with all shelters right now, the Vanderburgh Humane Society is currently overrun with adoptable pets who are just waiting for their forever home.  By giving each pet a spotlight we can hopefully find these pets their perfect forever homes.

Meet Pumpkin

Pumpkins are normally orange, but this pumpkin is an adorable brown tabby.  However, he got his name because, well, he's sweet as pie! Pumpkin is about 4 years old and is said to be the perfect match for you if you are looking for a cuddle bug.  If you want a cat that will curl up with you on the couch, Pumpkin is your guy.

Oh my gourdness, prepare to fall in love with Pumpkin the cat! Made of sugar, spice and all things nice, this big guy was once a house cat posing as a street cat. Originally brought in to be fixed through our TNR program, it didn’t take the VHS long to realize he wasn’t the least bit feral. When his person never came back for him, he was put up for adoption and has been melting hearts in the cageless cat room ever since! Pumkpin’s $80 adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip and up-to-date vaccinations. Apply for him online at vhslifesaver.org
