Leslie used to work with high school kids. By day she was a substitute teacher and after school she taught them all about theatre. While working with kids, she saw first hand, how some kids don't feel like they have a place to belong. While their classmates are enjoying everything that high school has to offer, they feel invisible and at times even unwanted. Leslie always strived to give ALL students a place to belong, feel valued and important.

Many times this can lead to feelings of fear, depression and anxiety. Sometimes these kids will shut down or cry loudly for help. To help, in hopes of making connections, with peers, early in the classroom, one teacher has come up with a way to identify these children in Elementary school so that they feel noticed, cared for, happy and validated at school.  Here  is the amazing thing she is doing. And, it's so simple!
