North Korea Threatens United States with Nuclear Attack – [UPDATED with Video]

This morning, Pyongyang (the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, commonly known as North Korea) threatened the United States with nuclear bombing in response to proposed sanctions on its nuclear programs due to recent warhead testing.
Today, The U.N. Security Council is set to bring a fourth round of sanctions (which was drafted by the United States and North Korea’s biggest ally, China) against Pyongyang to help control its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. This proposal, which will more than likely be accepted by all 15 Council members, has the country furious – mainly at the United States.
According to the Associated Press, “an unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang’s Foreign Ministry said the North will exercise its right for ‘a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors’ because Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.”
The AP goes on to say that the chances of North Korea actually having the technology to build a small enough nuclear bomb that attaches to a missile that can reach the US is unlikely and these threats are common from North Korea. However, the country has been stockpiling nuclear fuel to make “crude nuclear devices.”
North Korea has threatened that these new sanctions would “only advance the timing for North Korea to fulfill previous vows to take ‘powerful second and third countermeasures’ against its enemies.”
It has also been reported by CNN and many other news sources that at a time when the hostile country is making threats, testing nuclear weapons and committing numerous human welfare violations, the 28-year-old leader of the country, Kim Jong has struck up a “friendship” with sensationalist basketball player Dennis Rodman.
Rodman called Jong, “an awesome guy,” “my friend,” and relayed a message to President Obama – saying give Jong a call and just strike up a conversation about basketball to prevent nuclear war. CNN is now stating that the bizarre friendship may be overshadowing more important issues at hand.
