The Q Crew Morning Show

Hey there, Melissa here. I want to start off this article by saying thank you. Thank you for being so incredibly welcoming to me when I joined the Q Crew Morning Show back in April of 2023. It's always been a dream of mine to join a morning show, and having that opportunity here in my hometown has been an absolute blast. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, so I promise this isn't a goodbye! But there are some exciting updates I want to fill you in on!

As you know at the beginning of January, we said goodbye to Ryan, the other half of the Q Crew Morning Show. I've worked with Ryan for more than a decade and learned so much from him, and I'm so thankful that I got to learn how to do a morning show from one of the best in the business. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Ryan had an opportunity he couldn't pass up, so he decided to try something new. So not even a year after starting on a morning show, I had to say goodbye to my co-host and embark on a solo adventure. But this is where things get exciting again!

A New Year, New Morning Show

So the hunt immediately began behind the scenes to add a new morning show partner in the mix, and well, we found the perfect fit, and we didn't have to look very hard! The new addition to the WKDQ morning show is none other than Travis Sams!

So I introduce to you, Travis and Melissa in the Mornings

Starting on Monday, January 22nd, things will be slightly different on WKDQ, but still familiar. Travis will be making his way to the morning show to start on air with me bright and early at 6 AM. Travis and I have been friends for nearly a decade now, and I'm really excited to get to have him join me on air in the mornings! I think you'll find that Travis and I have developed a genuine friendship, and I truly feel like this will be a super fun show! Step Brothers inspired photo below.

Of course, this means Travis will no longer be hosting the afternoon show, so just a heads up, we'll be looking for the perfect fit for that spot (more details to come)! In the meantime, our friend Buddy Logan will take the Afternoon Show reigns.

I am really looking forward to this new chapter for the WKDQ morning show, and I really appreciate you listening, and going on this journey with us! I hope you enjoy the new morning show!
