Nestlé Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recalled Due to Wood Chips
Nestlé Toll House has recalled some chocolate chip cookie dough nationwide that might contain wood chips.

One of the most popular types of cookie dough on the market has a new nationwide recall. Not only does this cookie dough contain chocolate chips, but there's a possibility that you might find wood chips in there too.
Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recall
Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall for their Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar (16.5 oz) products due to the potential presence of wood fragments. According to Nestlé:
<p>This voluntary recall is isolated to two batches of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar products that were produced on April 24 and 25, 2023. This product was distributed at retailers in the U.S. This recall does not involve any other NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® products, including other varieties of refrigerated cookie dough in “break and bake” bars, rolls, or tubs, or Edible cookie dough.</p><p>While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue.</p>

As previously mentioned, this is a nationwide recall, so if you have purchased this product over the past several months, it might be wise to look to see if your chocolate chip cookie dough at home is affected by this recall. You're going to want to look to see if you have Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar (16.5 oz) with batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K with Best By Dates of
8/22/23 and 10/23/23.
If you find that your cookie dough is a part of this recall, you should not prepare or consume the product. You are asked to return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a replacement or refund.
