Andrea Mitchell, NBC's chief foreign affairs correspondent made a very personal admission yesterday that she has breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen For The Cure 'Race For The Cure', will happen in Evansville on September 24 in downtown Evansville. The Komen Foundation is always talking about the importance of screenings, regular mammograms and early detection. The veteran journalist revealed that she was planning on going to Wyoming last week for a vacation, but instead discovered she has breast cancer, adding, "Screening matters. Do it". Mitchell is undergoing treatment, but did not reveal any details about the treatment she is receiving, but she did say her cancer was caught in the "earliest stages" and the prognosis is "terrific". Below, you can see her on air remarks from yesterday and hopefully, her message is loud and clear.
