Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Confirms Another ‘LOST’ Alum Cast

Marvel The Inhumans Henry Ian Cusick
Marvel / The CW

Marvel’s ABC Inhumans have gone curiously quiet since May Upfronts (the trailer of which was never released to the public), but all is not lost. Well, some is LOST, as another island alum is confirmed for the Marvel cast with new details on the role.

In addition to LOST star Ken Leung’s Karnak, The Inhumans was recently rumored to feature fellow castaway and current The 100 star Henry Ian Cusick in an unknown role. CinemaBlend actually spoke to Cusick about the casting, learning that the actor will portray another among the human characters:

I play a geneticist and his name is Dr. Evan Declan and he’s human. I think that says quite a lot already, if you know the comics, you know where the Inhumans are coming from, so that’s pretty much my character.

The character has no comic counterpart that we can find, though the presence of a geneticist calls into question if The Inhumans will follow established origins from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And before you ask, the gig is not expected to affect Cusick’s role on The 100, despite the fourth season ending with some unresolved absences.

So reads The Inhumans synopsis:

After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

In addition to Anson Mount as King Black Bolt, Marvel’s ABC Inhumans features Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon as his brother Maximus, Serinda Swan as Queen Medusa, and Ken Leung as advisor Karnak. Further cast includes Isabelle Cornish as Medusa’s sister Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Ellen Woglom as an undisclosed human character.

Elsewhere of Marvel’s The Inhumans, we know that Iron Fist alum Scott Buck showruns the series for Marvel and ABC. Roel Reine directs the first two episodes, while Marvel has stated that The Inhumans will not have any direct crossover with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the films.

Watch the first teaser below, and stay tuned for more on Marvel and ABC’s The Inhumans as we get closer to the IMAX premiere in September.
