King, the Dog, Needs to Find the Right Kingdom [VIDEO]
Every Thursday at 8:10 AM, Kendall Paul from the Vanderburgh County Humane Society joins the Q Crew Morning Show to feature a special furry (or not furry) friend that is looking for its furever home! Here is the VHS PET OF THE WEEK!! Meet King!!
According to Amanda at the VHS -
King! 5-year-old male pit bull. Our longest resident who has been with us since January. He was found in a house with his deceased owner, along with his doggie sister Nina who was adopted several weeks ago. I can tell you the reason he’s still here is because he presents terribly in his kennel. Growls, cowers in the corner, and shuts down emotionally. It just so happens that we hosted Dogs Playing for Life this week. Kendall can talk about that in more detail but the training helped us learn to implement playgroups for our dogs. On day 1 King cowered in a corner of the yard. Day 2 he walked around just a little. And this was filmed on day 3, where he was engaging with people & dogs even if not actually playing yet. Once he’s out of his kennel he is wonderful with people and kids! He probably wouldn’t do well with overly pushy or exuberant dogs who test his boundaries, but calmer dogs (which Nina certainly was) would most likely be no problem for him.Adoption fee $110. Ready to go home today.
