Keith Burns Of Burns and Poe Helping Daughter Battle Leukemia

Keith Burns, one half of the duo named 2010 Independent Artist of the Year, Burns and Poe recently learned that his daughter has been diagnosed with Leukemia.  Burns, who was formerly part of the group, Trick Pony, fled to Georgia to be at 18-year-old Savannah's side when he learned of the diagnosis.  I spoke with Keith recently while he was at the hospital and he told me that he and his duo partner, Michelle Poe were actually shooting a PSA for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital when he got the call.  A strange irony that should remind us all that this can happen any time to anyone.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Savannah, Keith, and their family at this time.
