Julia Child Gets Remixed on Her 100th Birthday
Today is August 15th and Julia Child would have been 100 years old today. There are a ton of cooking shows on television now and none of them would be here had it not been for Julia Child, who was one of the pioneers of cooking on television, even though she was not the first TV cook. She is known primarily for introducing French Cuisine to the American public and her groundbreaking TV show, The French Chef, was the first TV show to be captioned for the deaf.
The folks at PBS wanted to pay tribute to Child by creating one of their now popular remixes, which were designed to put a newer spin on some of their most famous personalities. PBS has already remixed Mr. Rogers and TV painter Bob Ross. These remix videos have all gone viral and you can see Julia Child like you have never seen her before below.
