On Friday, I had the honor of talking to one of my heroes, Jerry "The King" Lawler.  From as early as I can remember, my dad would have the TV on at Noon on Saturday morning at our house in Louisville, KY.

Without fail we'd see "The King" fending off challengers left and right.  Since those days, I've watched Lawler go on to be a co-host for WWE's Monday Night Raw for 17 years!  "The King" still steps in the ring, and is still one of the best all-around performers in the world of wrestling.

This Wednesday, one of those dreaded challengers creeps back to face Lawler in Evansville, as "Superstar" Bill Dundee faces him in the main event at CCW's Legends of Wrestling Showdown at the Evansville Coliseum (The home of many legendary battles between the two grapplers over the last 35 years).  Also on the card are other faces from the storied history of Evansville Wrestling such as:

1/2 of the Rock and Roll Express, Ricky Morton

WWE Legend, Bushwhacker Luke

Former WWE Tag Team Champ, "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher

Legendary member of the Midnight Express, "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton

Former WWE and WCW Star, "Dirty" Dutch Mantel

Former WWE, WCW, and ECW Stars, PG-13, Wolfie D and Jamie Dundee

Former WWE, ECW, and WCW Star "The Wild Eyed Southern Boy" Tracy Smothers

And More.
