Billie Creek Village

Located in Rockville, Indiana sits a unique location, a village of old buildings that has been turned into a museum of sorts.  Billie Creek Village is a living history museum that transports you back to the late 1800s, and early 1900s.

Billie Creek Village was founded in 1969 by the residents of Parke County. Nestled strategically between Highway 36 and Old Highway 36 it was a choice spot for a tourist attraction. It spent decades as a top destination to experience a living history “museum”. Offering demonstrations in blacksmithing, candle making, milling, and more. The village thrived for a long time.

While Billie Creek Village was founded in 1969, many of the structures are more than a century old.  Billie Creek Village hosts many events and festivals throughout the year and is a truly immersive experience.  The village is full of antiques and old structures that hold a lot of history.  Of course with that much history, there are a few paranormal tales that have popped up over the years.

Hauntings at Billie Creek Village.

Of course with any historic location, sometimes you wonder, are there past residents that maybe haven't left?  Some people have mentioned seeing apparitions, shadows, and even hearing footsteps of someone who isn't there in the old village.
