Harlem Globetrotter Escapes Serious Injury When Goal Collapses and Backboard Shatters Near Player’s Head

Very scary moment the other night for Harlem Globetrotter Bull Bullard during a game in Honduras. Bullard went up for what appeared to be a routine dunk, which turned out to be anything but routine. Bullard could have been seriously hurt, if not killed after his dunk caused the entire goal to collapse. The rim and backboard landed literally inches form Bullard's head causing the glass backborad to shatter over Bullards head and face.

Outside of a bloody gash just behind his eye, Bullard was OK. The crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when Bullard stood up and waved to the crowd. I have been around basketball my entire life and have never seen anything as scary as this...see below.
