Evansville area law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services will once again duke it out inside the ring for a great cause this spring when Guns & Hoses returns to the Ford Center in downtown Evansville.

I can not be more excited about the return of Guns & Hoses! This is hands-down one of the best events you'll attend all year for a couple of reasons. First and most importantly, it is the biggest fundraiser for 911 Gives Hope which takes every penny raised and distributes the proceeds to other children's charities across the Tri-State through its grant program.

Secondly, it's just an incredible night of entertainment. There are pyrotechnics complete with towering flames and smoke machines as the fighters walk down the ramp toward the ring. Plus, each fighter walks out to a song they picked with seemingly every genre of music covered. There's country, pop, hard rock, heavy metal, hip-hop, and even a show tune or two. Think of it as if the WWE staged a boxing event (minus the part where they know who will win ahead of time). It's more than just a night of boxing, it's a spectacle that you can't miss.

Guns & Hoses 16 Set for April 13th, 2024

The annual tradition of Guns & Hoses will be returning to the Ford Center on Saturday, April 13th. Hoses are up 8 to 7 against the Guns. Will Guns be able to tie it up this year, or will Hoses pull further away in the lead?

Either way, you know you are going to have fun at Guns & Hoses. As of now, no information regarding the fight card has been released. However, that doesn't mean that you can't secure your tickets for this epic night at the Ford Center.

Guns & Hoses 16 Ticket Information

Tickets for this year's event are on sale now and start as low as $15 for upper bowl tickets. Lower bowl tickets are only $25, and floor seats are $30. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5 in the upper bowl. Of course, taxes and additional fees apply.

All tickets are available at the Ford Center box office or online through Ticketmaster.

Oh, and keep listening between now and fight night for your chance to win a pair of tickets for free.

See How Downtown Evansville Has Changed Over the Years

I find looking back on the way things used to be fascinating. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm living through the current time period. The conveniences of answering any question we have in seconds, or ordering practically anything we want or need and having it delivered to our doorstep is pretty sweet. But, there is something fun about seeing how things around us have evolved. As an Evansville native, and spending quite a bit of my time in downtown Evansville (that's where the station is located), I've always appreciated the older architecture of the buildings around the area. So, I dug into the Willard Library Archives to see how a few of those areas look now compared to then. Some have changed a little, others quite a bit, and a few don't even exist any more. Take a look.
