It was an awesome sight to see when I showed up to do my Saturday night air shift at our 911 Gives Hope for The Holidays Toy Drive.

As I approached the area, I noticed some children pitching in to help carry the new toys into the semi truck.  What great little helpers!  Emma and Braydon Fields, children of Officer Kenny Fields and wife Kim, were carrying and sorting the toys as we were receiving donations.  They also brought along their friends Kaitlyn and Jackson to help too! Thanks kids!

As cars were approaching the drop off area at the Wal Mart parking lot, Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Rd, I noticed one thing:  lots of smiles on mom's and dad's faces as their children handed us those new toys.

We're all working toward one goal.  Helping to lift the spirits of young children being treated in the local hospitals during this Christmas holiday season and giving them a new toy.   It's about giving to those kids for a happier holiday. And it really does work.

Please stop by with a new toy anytime between now and this Sunday night at 6pm when the toy drive ends.
