All Makes And Models are Available at the VHS!

The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them in all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats who have been around awhile. So there is a very good likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week with the VHS, and this week we've got a very good girl who loves to play!

Meet Danica

Danica is described as a very sweet and playful girl, a total goofball, and loves chasing tennis balls.

A few things about Danica: 1) She is a certified goofball. 2) Tennis ball is life. 3) Her Big Dog Buddy volunteers have worked really hard on making her the awesome dog she is today! Danica is smart, strong and loyal. She would love to be adopted by someone who loves, appreciates and nurtures those qualities in her! Come meet this beautiful 3-year-old girl and see why she is a favorite around here! Her $200 adoption fee includes her spay, microchip and up-to-date vaccinations.

How Many Animals Did the VHS Help in 2023?

The VHS just released their infographic explaining their numbers in 2023, and over 2,800 animals found their forever homes through the VHS in 2023, which is awesome! Among those animals was one cow, which I love haha!
