Glen Campbell’s Goodbye Tour Will Stop In Evansville This Saturday Night [Video]

Glen Campbell is currently making his way around the country to say farewell on ‘The Goodbye Tour’ which will stop in Evansville this Saturday night at 8pm at the Centre in Downtown Evansville. Tickets for this historic show are on sale now at the Centre box office, all ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com. As a result of Cambell’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, touring will no longer be possible and he wanted to take one last opportunity to say goodbye and thank his legion of loyal fans that have been with him since the beginning.
Glen Campbell is one of the great country artists of all time and one of the greatest guitar players that ever lived. Campbell hit his stride in the 1960′s and 70′s with a string of hit records and a very successful TV variety show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.
Campbell has released more than 70 albums in his 50 years in the music business. His incredible guitar work landed him stints with The Beach Boys and The Champs where Campbell was featured doing the lead guitar work on The Champs biggest hit, Tequila.
Campbell has won Grammy Awards in both country and pop categories and in 1968 was the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. His hits include Wichita Lineman, Gentle on My Mind, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Galveston, Rhinestone Cowboy and Southern Nights. Just recently, Campbell received Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in a special cermony and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

A massive tornado touched down just south of Oklahoma City on Monday, killing dozens.
At least seven of those killed were students at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore. The twister, which measured 2 miles at one point, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials.

Massive Tornado Destroys Area Near Oklahoma City; At Least 51 Killed [UPDATED]
An enormous tornado with a debris cloud two miles wide tore through the metropolitan area just south of Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon.
UPDATE 9:28 p.m. EST: At least 51 people were killed in the storm, including seven children from Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, according to KFOR in Oklahoma City. The news station reported that 75 student and staff were inside the school when the storm struck. Officials said Monday night that the search of the rubble remaining of the school had turned to a recovery mission.
